AB Every lender faces situations with debtors that lead them to contemplate the use of restructuring consultants, either hired to represent the lender or referred directly to a debtor to assist in a turnaround. In these situations, lenders need to exercise care when referring consultants to ensure that the selected professionals not only have the necessary financial experience, but also have expertise regarding the debtor's operations. No restructuring plan is complete without both a financial and operational component.
